Dive Princess Alice

When we went to Princess Alice this week we met a Tuna boat fishing Bonito.
Manta Rays were crusing around the Tuna boat.

Swimming with Dolphins

Pico Island is a unique spot. Beside excellent condirtions for scuba diving it´s a meeting point for whales,dolphins and other curious species. In June and July Sunfish is comming up from the deep blue, feeding on jellyfish.

Arcades de Formesinhas

Yesterday we went for a dive in the Arcades of Formesinhas. This dive spot is only a 5 minute boatride away from our base. Lubos Raspl took some pictures in the Arcades. This place is famous for the landscaping. Fish is not the issue here.

What happens here

Pico is the highest peak of the Mid Atlantic Ridge. The upwelling water has lots of food and the food chain is here. Diving is outstanding but also whales and dolphins, sharks and turtles and manta rays are around.
